Storyteller's Companion to the Bible Series has at least thirteen volumes of Bible commentary and sermon material intended to show how to read and retell the stories of the Bible more effectively, each volume related to a particular part of the Bible. Published by Abingdon Press.
These look at the legends and the real people behind them, and include a number of links for further study. Eventually I hope to add similar pages on other "legendary saints" such as Stephen, George, Christopher, Francis, Augustine, Athenasius, Dominic and Bernard of Clairvaux, and Patrick, and others.

Christian History Institute Publishers of bulletin inserts for churches, there are more than a hundred individuals and topics in church history covered in these pages.
The Golden Legend by Jacobus de Voragine, writing about 1260, was the most printed book in Europe between 1470 to 1530. The English Translation by William Caxton in 1483 was one of the first books published in English.Also
Along with these sources, I do searches on Alta Vista on their names- Usually you can expect to find a lot of churches and schools, and even communities (or Islands in the Caribbean) will have sites that will come up, but with some surfing you can find some excellent material and artwork.
Largely unexplored territory by Christian storytellers, Mishnah and Rabbinical tradtions and Hasidic stories.... offer considerable possibilities for finding stories with spiritual or moral applications.
